Every team needs a coach, and a parent of one of the players typically fills this role. St Patricks is lucky to have several people around the club who are very experienced coaches, but more help is needed. The club can help with coaching courses if needed. Also, each team needs a manager to look after all the off-field and admin matters. Both jobs only take a couple of hours each week. If you are interested in either of these very rewarding jobs, please contact any club committee person or mention this when your child is registered.
On game day, there are many tasks that need to be done. Parent can help by scoring, umpiring, setting up the ground, writing match reports for the club newsletter, collating stats, selling soft drinks, help organise the team or simply bring family/friends along to support the team. The Club can arrange training for scorers and umpires.
Please contact me if you would like any more information. On behalf of the committee, I look forward welcoming you to St Patricks and to many successful seasons of cricket.
