Established in 1957, St Patrick’s Cricket Club has a long and proud record of promoting and supporting cricket in the Sutherland Shire.

The Club is proud of former players such as former captain & now coach of Sutherland District Club, Shane Duff who had significant success in junior cricket, culminating in the Association Cricketer of the year in 1987/88. Sutherland player Martin Carroll still has the Club’s best batting average of 100.83, dating back to 1981/82 while Kevin Tuite had an amazing aggregate of 788 in the same season. Kevin holds the club record of 2,515 runs during his 7 seasons with St Patrick’s. Martin Carroll also obtained 237 wickets over 10 seasons, second only to the magnificent 285 wickets obtained by Peter Warwick in 8 seasons with the club.

We are also proud of the long term involvement of our players: people such as Adam Young (36 years with the Club), Mark Monaghan (35 years), Tim Rogan (29 years) & Paul Cheadle (25 years). Such people have played, coached & taken roles on our Committee.

Of course no Club can exist without parents that offer support and St Patrick's is no different. With our Life Members Jim Lynch, Bob Duff & Brian Quinn through to people such as Jack Rutty, Jim Lynch & Bill Lawler, (some of whom also served the Association for many years), St Patrick's has been able to support cricket in the Shire for nearly 50 years.
