Before the start of the season
- Book in for coaching course (if applicable)
- Agree a time / day of the week for training and book the nets with

- Contact all your players to advise the time/day when training will commence
- Collect cricket kit and keys (for toilets & our Waratah shed) from Warren Daley. Check the kit and arrange any new / additional equipment with Warren
- Either you or your manager needs to attend the SSJCA pre-season meeting for managers and coaches.

SSJCA Modified (U/8's plus 10E & 10F) Coaches/Managers Meeting check Events
- Either you or your manager needs to attend the St Patricks Pre-Season Meeting.
You will receive scorebook, match balls etc. This will be held on the first Wednesday prior to the start of the season, check Events for details.
- All Coaches require a Level 1 or Level 0 accreditation. Check with a Committee member on these requirements.
- Complete a Child Protection form and pass to the Secretary.
During the season

of any team changes/new players.
- Ensure no-one ever bats at training without a helmet. Helmets are now compulsory for games & training (excluding U/8's).
- With the manager, ensure the following duties are covered (either by yourselves or assigning to others):
- Umpiring - while it is often the coach that umpires, this can be shared around. Speak to a Committee member about SSJCA requirements and training that is available.
- Set-up ground before play (10 boundary markers and stumps) and collect gear at end of play
- Scorers - Check for the Software Presentation Night at Events.
- Collect & distribute WicketWatch to your team.
- Attend the club meetings to pick up any news, information that needs to be fed back to team.
- Update the team statistics after each game.
At the end of the season
- With the Manager, write up end of season summary, player profiles and award winners for annual report and presentation night.
- Return the cricket kit, keys and scorebook
