Wicket Watch Reports – St Pats Website Notes

To write a match report:

1) Go to www.stpatscricket.org.au

2) Go to left hand side of screen and find “log-on” panel

3) Type in User Name and Password to get access (username and password supplied by St Pats via email)

4) For first timers there is a brief instruction video on how to write a match report using the web-site. This video is under “Post-Tutorial” and is called “How to write a match report”

5) On the left hand side of the screen, find and click “bat” labelled “Match Reports” a button on it’s own –  ( Heading Submit Match Reports)

6) A submit form will open -  Find and click on the “Category” menu, (in the lower half of the form) and click on the team corresponding to the report that is to be written – for example – 10A

7) At the top of the form is a title box (this must be filled in) give the report its correct title, for example R1 10A St Pats vs. Illawong

8) Under the title in the large field simply type the report – all fonts and styles are set and need not be changed. (If they are changed,  they will be changed back when the report is loaded onto the web-site)

9) Images are most welcome, but the large 2 – 3 MB images delivered by most digital cameras are not necessary for a web-site report.  Download the camera images to PC and save as a smaller file, say 600 pixels. Use the smaller images in the report. The quality of the image will not suffer in an electronic report.

10) When the report is finished – click “Send” in the top right hand corner.

11) Job finished – the report is submitted and the editor receives an email alerting if a new report to be loaded into Wicket Watch – the electronic newsletter from St Pats Cricket.

(Note – if the editor makes a change, corrects a typo, re-formats a paragraph…….the author will be alerted to the change)
