Illawong Menai 2/116 def. St Pats 5/66
St Pats won the toss and batted. All the boys made some runs with Tom Doherty standing out with a nice 14, along with Kobi, Michael, and Jack. Illawong bowled well, but with some pressure on their fieldsmen when running between wickets we can put together some better scores.
Billy Morris took an impressive 2/6 with the ball, along with Aidan 1/8 off the short run. The boys were not afraid to get down in the Anzac dirt (judging from some of the whites) and fielded well. In the end the Illawong top order won the day.
All in all a steady start and plenty of good things to work with. Looking forward to training on Thursday at Forest Road.
